    Am I the only one who gets chills from hearing someone wants to boost from 6 to 8 psi and is bitching about the price of the PULLEY ??!?! Uh, what about fuel pump, injectors, FPR, etc etc etc. WHat about the cost when the engine goes ka-blooooey from extra detonation. Assuming your 6 psi JRSC is PERFECTLY tuned (truly a rare scenario) everything changes when you go to 8+). Quibbling about spending $150 for a pulley (or $170 for the Endyn stepper).

    Sheesh, I must be getting old

    If you are using the M-62 (gsr, si, type-r) the following diameters equate the different boost levels:

    4.2 = 5.5 psi
    4.0 = 6 psi
    3.8 = 8 psi
    3.6 = 10 psi

    Just a small correction...the Si's engine is 200cc smaller, so those pulleys will produce higher boost levels on the Si (1.6 liter). The Si usually has these numbers:

    4.2" = 6psi
    4.0" = 8psi
    3.8" = 10psi

    It's funny though because I see 10 psi with my 4.2 inch pulley on my Si. Before you mention exhaust restrictions, I completely disconnected everything from the header back and the boost only dropped 1 psi at WOT. Good lord, that thing was freakin loud!!! eek I'm sure my neighbors love me for that one. biggrin
